About Us

We're all familiar with the need to minimize contact when we're contagious. So, why is it that hospitals and urgent cares are often jammed with both contagious and non-contagious patients?

It was this question that led Dr. Mike Coleman to start instantMD, a doctor's office that comes to you! With over 25 years of experience in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Coleman witnessed firsthand the stress points within our healthcare infrastructure.

Dr. Coleman organized an effort to provide on demand PCR testing which brought licensed medical providers to the patient's door to collect samples and bring them directly to the lab for same-day results in Washington DC, Seattle, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Miami. With increased demand Dr. Coleman developed a telemedicine program to certify patients test results via a telemedicine visit. After successfully providing testing for over 170,000 patients the development of instantMD began as a way to provide telemedicine to patients in a user friendly format that allows patients to connect with their provider with ease of use and streamlined provider patient communication.

Today with over 250 licensed physicians our mission has not changed: to provide high quality healthcare to patients from anywhere.
